Unlawful Order

I can't help but feel this one is my fault....after Frankie called me a liar at that townhall meeting, when I brought up the 16 hour shifts following email was sent to all staff at the Jail.  As good as this evidence is, I can't help but feel I still have more digging to do.

So Sheriff, what else are you hiding?

  1. Email is a wonderful thing. I tell cops all the time follow up with an email to confirm an order, clear up a direction and to have a copy for later use.

As a cop for many years I always sent a BCC (Blind Copy) to my personal email, that way I always had copies in my personal account.

Hard to argue with an email, but Even with this, I had DA Jeff Reisig under oath, say he "had no recollection" of an email that was not only sent to him but he responded to it and yet when showed to him, he still denied it and said he "had no recollection". So depending how dirty this Sheriff is, he will be advised by his confidential attorney, County Counsel, of course covered by Attorney Client privileged, that even if the email is real, if he dose not remember it, or if he does not remember hearing about it, he can still deny any knowledge.

This politic thing is pretty well defined and the rules work well to protect those in charge. They will deny, admit nothing and claim it is all politics to distract from the real issue.

It is not only our right to question our elected officials, it is our duty.
