Time to Speak Up

The time has come for everyone who can stomache it to start speaking up.  When you see something innaccurate in an online newspaper article, please correct it....with your real name.  Make sure that you remove your employer from your facebook profile first.  People need to understand that it's coming from you, and we wouldn't want anyone to assume that you are speaking for the LCSO.  This IS risky, so please be careful, and be sure you're ready.

Dos
Do correct errors or mistruths.
Do speak up about how things affect you or your family.
Do make sure that what you say is correct.
Do cite your proof.
Do be matter of fact and respectful.
And, unfortunately, do so at your own risk.  And remember, that without risk, change doesn't happen.


Don'ts
Don't be inflamatory.
Don't use profanity.
Don't allow anyone to think that you speak for the SO.
Don't use personal attacks.
